One of Natalya's favorite classes happened to be Potions, with the exception of Care of Magical Creatures. She'd always gotten along with animals better than she did with people, save close incredibly close to her. She enjoyed Potions for similar reasons..she didn't have to interact with people as much with Potions. She was also meticulous and organized, and both of those qualities lent well toward Potion making. In addition, it was just..genuinely something that she was good at it, and she took pride in that.
She was currently in an empty potions classroom working on brewing a potion for practice. "Time to add more dragonfly thoraxes to the mixture. Sure seems like we have to add a lot of those." Natalya murmured to herself as she added yet another helping of dragonfly thoraxes. The Girding Potion asked for the ingredient to be added at several different points, and Natalya had to keep double checking the instructions to make sure that she was on the right step rather than repeating another step. It was a mistake that she wasn't as likely to make (unlike one Amelia Fitzgerald who, she heard, kept getting so confused about the seeming repeats in the instructions that her potion was a completely lost cause), but she was diligent enough that she wanted to make sure.
Hence why she was mildly irritated when she heard the door to the room open. "Do you mind? This better be good.." If it turned out to be someone she knew? Her annoyance would fade a lot faster than if it turned out to be some complete stranger possibly interfering with her concentration and ruining her attempt at this potion. On the other hand, she was giving them a chance to redeem themselves even if that did turn out to be the case. If they had a good reason for interrupting her? She would be willing to forgive them. Hell, even if it was just something moderately entertaining. She just didn't want someone barging in on her for no other reason than to strike up a conversation. Unless it was, perhaps, her brother or sister..
At least she had time to spare while she waited for the potion to turn blue. And at least she was most of the day through brewing said potion. Were it earlier on, she would be in a considerably poorer mood
